I need to take my pet snake (an 18 inch ball python) from Tampa to Pittsburgh in May. Are there any airlines that will let me take it at checked baggage?

If not, is there any other way I can have her shipped up to me?

I know there are small snakes that can live off bugs and spiders, I was wondering of a certain kind you know of. I am planning on getting a snake, and my parents won’t by mice or anything like that for it, so it’d be cruel to get a snake that needed them to live. Are there any snakes that can live souly of bugs (or fish)? Please name the kind of snake and what kinds of bugs it can eat. Thanks!

He wants the snake, but I’m told it can grow over 10 feet long, which kinda worries me…

What would be the better pet? Snake or puppy? Whichever one we get him, I want to be able to teach it tricks and everything. By the way, my son is almost 5, so he is old enough to play with either I think.

We lived on farms, to have space and horses, with occasional snakes – and constant care. Daughter now lives on farm on city perimeter for same reason. She’s had Tiger Snake behind stove, another recently in kitchen, others in stables, etc. etc. I now live in leafy suburb happily without horses, AND snakes, and rejoice. She reckons I’m just paranoid! And getting old. But how does the "real world" appeal to you?

I found snake skin on my window – and I’m afraid it might be inside my house – I can’t find it. Can I do something to drive snakes away?

I have built an enclosure for my corn snake that is more than accomodating. I want to know how many snakes I can safely house together in this particular enclosure. The enclosure is 2x2x4 ft. I am interested in breeding my snake at some point and need to know if i can put more than one snake together.

My husband killed a baby copperhead snake this morning. I really need to know how to keep snakes away. We used Snake Away for the past 3 years and never had this problem. Moth balls helps a little under the house. I have cats and that helps some. Is there anything else we can do to solve this problem? Any home remades? Any animals that will help?

How did they come up with pet snakes? They are fun to play with but back in the old days people wouldn’t want a snake unless it was for soup. So how did they come up with pet snakes?

The pet store guy told me to lift her by her neck, but I did my own research and sources say this is not good because a snake’s neck is delicate…? So what’s the best way to pick her up?

I am planning on getting a baby ball python my only worry is that i have a pet cocker spaniel dog. I hear that as long as i keep them separated it is ok but lets pretend the snake somehow got loose and my dog came face to face with it. Would my dog kill it or bark at it and what would the snake do if it saw my dog?
