My husband killed a baby copperhead snake this morning. I really need to know how to keep snakes away. We used Snake Away for the past 3 years and never had this problem. Moth balls helps a little under the house. I have cats and that helps some. Is there anything else we can do to solve this problem? Any home remades? Any animals that will help?
What is the best way to keep snakes out of my yard?

Keep leaves raked up and hauled away. Don’t have any brush or wood piles, keep shrubbery trimmed so it not going to ground making a cool place for them to hide on hot day. Feeding birds also attract snakes. I am guilty of this. If you have lots of birds, you will have snakes if you live in country. I don’t think any snake repellent works it only gives you a little peace of mind.
Get a peacock, they are great at keeping snakes down. The problem is they can be aggressive and they are noisy.
they will kill a cat, so that is not a good idea…
pigs however will slurp them up like spaghetti, and a pig has enough insulation that the venom from bites is noneffect.
go to home depot or lowes, over in the garden section they have snake repellant, sounds weird but its worth a try
